Description
Ready to escape from Prison again? The second annual Prison to Prison Beer run is back! This year the event kicks off at Prison Hill Brewing Co and will be a gruelling 1.9km race from Prison Hill Brewing to the Yuma Territorial Prison and back to the brewery for an after party! All proceeds from the event will go to support the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area. Event registration being at 8:30a and ends at 9:00a when the beer inspired “callisthenics” begin in the yard. The race will commence at about 9:15a, or whenever you finish your first beer or bloody Chavez. There will be light breakfast options before the race, a beverage/refuelling beer station at the Territorial Prison, and another beer for you at the finish! The celebration continues after the run with live music, an awards ceremony complete with trophies appropriate for the escapee’s, and food and drink specials. Registration is $65 per person for single entries and $220 for teams of 4 people. Each registration includes a drink at the start, one at the refuelling station, and at the finish. The first 50 entrants get a commemorative T shirt as well. All entrants will receive a hat and get a medal at the finish, when they will be reincarnated but rewarded for good behavior!
