Designed for beginners and experienced musicians alike, this course introduces and develops string instrument techniques, music reading skills, and ensemble performance. Students learn to be proficient in public performances on the Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass.
Beginners Orchestra- This class is for brand new students who must be in 3th grade or 8 years of age through adults. Students are instructed on correct musical terms and parts of their instrument, proper posture, site reading, beginning musical notation and rhythms, ensemble participation, and given the opportunity to perform showing their new skills. If a student does not meet the age requirements, an interview will be required.
Intermediate Orchestra- This intermediate class is for students who must be reading music. Students will be instructed on more advanced skills with their instrument, including scales and arpeggios, styles of music, and theory, playing in ensemble, and given the opportunity to perform showing their new skills. Students will be accepted on the recommendation of the Beginners Orchestra and Intermediate Orchestra teacher or by audition.
