The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a private, 501(c)(6) membership organization for businesses, individuals, nonprofits, institutions of higher education, and tribal-owned businesses doing business in Arizona.
Since 1974, the mission of the Chamber is to advance Arizona’s competitive position in the global economy by advocating free-market policies that stimulate economic growth and prosperity for all Arizonans.
The Chamber works vigorously and on a non-partisan basis with government officials and policymakers at all levels, and other business and industry groups, on behalf of the Arizona business community. The Chamber is the leading statewide business advocate at the Arizona state Capitol and with the Arizona congressional delegation.
The Chamber takes positions on legislation and ballot measures, makes candidate endorsements for the state Legislature and statewide offices, leads unique events and develops policy programs, and advocates accordingly.
The Chamber’s specific priorities evolve with the changing needs of the Arizona business community, but all fall under five guiding principles:
1. Promote a globally competitive tax environment
2. Decrease the regulatory burden on business
3. Sustain a strong workforce
4. Maintain a strong infrastructure
5. Support economic development and diversification
