My name is Maria Ortega and I own Independent Accounting Services, LLC.

I have over 25 years of professional accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Throughout my accounting career, I have successfully helped small and medium-sized former employers grow and thrive in their businesses, in both United States and Mexico. I have extensively worked for diverse industries, such as farming, construction, hospitality, public accounting, petroleum, retail, and personal income taxes.

Independent Accounting Services was launched at the beginning of 2022, full-time, after the owner retired from the corporate world, last December.

We offer affordable, quality accounting, payroll, and financial consulting services for small and medium-sized businesses dedicated to the services industry. We offer some on-site services in Yuma, Arizona, and remote services in the Phoenix Metro area and Tucson, Arizona.
Our mission is to help small and medium-sized businesses grow and thrive, by helping them to make informed business decisions. Our passion is to provide accurate accounting and reliable financial reports. We understand well small and medium-sized business owners’ needs, pains, and challenges of owning a business. So, we strive to help business owners have peace of mind.
